Fiat has already released the images of Argo hatchback that is ready to replace the Punto. The new hatchback appears quite sportier and upmarket compared to the Punto hatchback. X-Tomi Design took the opportunity to render an even sportier version of the Argo with an Abarth badge, and dubbed it as Fiat Argo Abarth.

The rendering image previews a nice and appealing low cost hot hatch capable of replacing the Punto Abarth. Popularity and demand of sporty hot hatches have been increasing around the world and this could be a very interesting product from the brand if produced. It could be a perfect competitor against rivals like Ford Fiesta ST, Volkswagen Polo GTI.

In terms of design, Fiat Argo Abarth carries the identical silhouette of the standard Argo. Additionally it sports red trim at the air intake, red ORVM cap, red painted brake calipers along with black hood and black painted roof. It runs on upgraded sporty and shiny black painted alloy wheels. Apart from these design elements, the scorpion badge also makes it distinctive compared to the standard Fiat Argo hatchback.

Fiat Argo truly appears with a radically different design language compared to the current Punto hatchback’s dated style. It is based on an all-new lightweight but rigid platform that enhances the vehicle’s performance and offers greater fuel efficiency. The sharp headlamps with crisply integrated LED daytime running lights, large and aggressive radiator grille, muscular fenders, roof spoiler and compact two-part taillights add zing to the hatchback.

Inside the cabin, the Fiat Argo hatchback is much more stylish and upmarket compared to the Punto. If the Italian auto major decides to introduce an Abarth variant of the hatchback just like the rendered image, it would sport contrast stitching on steering wheel, seat and upholstery along with special badge at different places. Under the hood, the hot hatch would receive a more powerful engine compared to the 1.3-litre and 1.8-litre engines to be offered with the standard Argo.
