Fiat Abarth Punto Unveiled In India, makes an Insane 145 BHP, comes with a manual gearbox!
Fiat Fans will get tired getting excited and high at the same time. Fiat has just unveiled it plans for India and it includes the Punto Abarth. Fiat Abarth Punto is everything the enthusiast ever needs. Fiat, with the power ratings has taken the game to an all new level. After launching the Fiat Abarth 595 Competezione at a ridiculously high price tag, Fiat has announced that the Fiat Abarth Punto can be priced under 10 lakhs! We think Fiat showrooms floors will need extra strengthening as enthusiast will fill it up to the brim.

Aesthetically the car gets Abarth badging replacing the Fiat ones. Abarth stickers on side of the car just above the side skirts. Red stripes on the bumper to up the sporty quoitent along with Scorpion badge on the bonnet to make things nasty and scary. Matte paint, needlessly to say is an ace idea to spruce up an hot hatch.
Fiat Abarth Punto comes with the same 1.4 T-Jet engine that is found in the Fiat Linea. The T-Jet, turbocharged and inter-cooled engine churns out 145 BHP of power and 200 Nm of torque. Power will go to the front wheels and it will torque steer like a animal most likely. 5-Speed gearbox will be putting the power done and we hope the gearbox is made more slicker than the normal Punto.
Mechanically the suspension will be completely rehauled with stiffer springs and damper rates. Bigger 16-inch wheels and tyres will come on the Fiat Abarth Punto. The Fiat Abarth Punto has lost its mad ground clearance by 20mm and will be more sharper to drive around the twisty and will glue to road like no other hatchback.
The car is expected to have a topspeed of just under shade of 200 km/hr which should make it a pretty slick performance hatchback and smoke to competition as it is more powerful than the most powerful hatchback, the Volkswagen Polo 1.2 Tsi.
A proper comparison will only rule out the difference as VW has the magical gearbox which could still make it ace performer. Overall, we are excited about the whole package and we can’t wait to burn some rubber and eat some Pizza with this Italian beast! Thank you Fiat!
