Fiat 500 60th anniversary edition comes paying tribute to the original 500; will be available in three petrol engine options
Fiat has launched a special edition Fiat 500 convertible to celebrate the car’s 60th anniversary, which will be sold in limited numbers only. Pricing of the car starts from £19,240 (Rs. 15,50,358). It comes paying tribute to the original Fiat 500 with its eye-catching styling, while the equipment and feature are of modern times. In UK market, it will be sold only in a number of 250 units and the first 60 of them will come with an unique limited edition number plate and authenticity certificate.
Since its introduction 60 years ago, the Italian automaker has sold more than of six million units across the world. The 60th anniversary edition of the Fiat 500 convertible comes wearing a Grey fabric roof and Dolcevita bi-colour paint scheme. It dons tri-coat White colour for the body, while the hood and the pillars are painted in Pastel Ivory colour.
The 500 badge at the front bumper comes in unique manner sporting Red painted 6 and 0 incorporated into the last two figures of the ‘500’ logo. Apart from that, the car receives bespoke chrome finished ORVM caps and chrome garnished door handles. Also, it runs on special 16-inch alloy wheels finished in White diamond colour. The vintage Fiat logos complete the 60th anniversary model of the Fiat 500.
Inside the cabin, the Fiat 500 special edition gets a multi-function steering wheel, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features of the car include LED fog lamps, automatic climate control, rain and dusk sensors, cruise control, rear parking sensor etc.
Power source for the Fiat 500 60th anniversary edition include three different petrol engines, which are a 69 hp generating 1.2-litre unit, 85 hp producing 0.9-litre TwinAir engine and a 105 hp 0.9-litre TwinAir motor. Transmission options include a manual gearbox and a Dualogic gearbox, with only the 1.2-litre engine available with manual transmission.
