Facelifted versions of Figo hatchback and Aspire compact sedan to receive subtle design updates and several new features
Ford is preparing to give its Figo hatchback and Aspire compact sedan duo a facelift in 2018. Both the cars would come sporting subtle design updates at exterior and new upmarket features inside the cabin. Initially, the updated Figo hatchback and the Aspire compact sedan will be launched in Brazilian market and later on it will make way into other markets including India too.
Both the Ford models come sharing several design elements. Expect these models to receive new design front grille, sharper headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, updated bumpers and tweaked taillights as well. Apart from these any further change in the facelifted models are unlikely. Overall, with these little changes, the new Ford Figo and Aspire will arrive sharper and more stylish compared to the current models.

Ford Asia Pacific has been given the responsibility to make the visual upgrades to the new Figo and Aspire. The first prototypes of these facelifted models are reportedly reached the Brazilian market. We hope to see the test mules in the India too in a couple of months.
Speaking about the features that could be introduced to the new Figo and Aspire, touchscreen infotainment system with various connectivity options is very likely to be there. The centre console would sport a similar appearance as the upcoming EcoSport facelift. Seat and upholstery materials are likely to be improved. Space will remain same as there won’t be any dimensional change at all.

On the powertrain front, the facelifted Figo and Aspire compact sedan would retain the same engine and transmission options. Power and torque output too would remain unchanged. India-spec Ford Figo is available with a 1.2-litre Ti-VCT petrol, a 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol and a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine. Ford Aspire compact sedan on the other hand also comes with same engine options as its hatchback sibling.
