Maruti Suzuki Ignis Delta variant is available in both the manual and AMT options; misses out on several interesting features
India’s biggest automaker Maruti Suzuki has just launched its highly anticipated Ignis in India. It is an urban compact hatchback sold through the Nexa premium dealership channel. The Ignis is an attractively designed car with plenty of upmarket features inside the cabin. Available in four different variants Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha this car comes in both petrol and diesel engine guises, while transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT as well.
Here we have all the details of the Delta variant of the Ignis in images and walkaround video. The Delta variant misses out several features like chrome accents around the front grille, LED projector headlamp and LED daytime running lights, fog lamps with chrome garnishing around them and set of alloy wheels. Only chrome trims at the front fascia are the sleek horizontal strips sitting at the centre of the grille.

At the side profile, the Ignis Delta gets body coloured ORVMs with integrated turn indicator, body coloured door handles, blackened A and B pillars delivering a floating roof touch to the car. Apart from that, the three slats at thick C pillar are present. The rear bumper sports black insert, while the rear windshield wiper is there as well.
Inside the cabin, it sports tilt adjustable multi-function steering wheel, analog dial and digital MID consisting instrument cluster, dual tone dashboard. The Delta variant misses out on touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and SmartPlay that is available in top variants of Maruti Suzuki Ignis. The meter accent lighting is also not available in this variant.

Apart from that, it features carbon fibre trim around the AC vents, an audio system with LCD screen at the centre console that gets CD and Bluetooth connectivity. Also, unlike the four speakers in Zeta and Alpha variants, the delta gets only 2 speakers. Among other features, this variant gain are electronic adjustable ORVM, day and night IRVM, rear seat adjustable head restraints, power windows, etc. It doesn’t get the push start button that is available in Zeta and Alpha variants.
On safety front, dual front airbags, Suzuki TECT body, ABS with EBD, seatbelt pre-tensioner with force limiters, pedestrian protection are the features that come standard across all variants of the Maruti Suzuki Ignis. But the Delta doesn’t get rear parking sensor or rear view parking camera, rear defogger and rear wiper.

As for the powertrain, the Ignis Delta is available in petrol and diesel engine options with both 5-speed manual gearbox and AMT on offer. Speaking about the pricing, The Delta Petrol MT is sold at Rs. 5.19 lakh and AMT variant is priced at Rs. 5.74 lakh. On diesel front, the Delta MT and AMT are priced at Rs. 6.39 lakh and Rs. 6.94 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) respectively.
