The TVS Jupiter Grande is the new top of the line variant under the special edition skin with LED headlamp, semi-digital speedo and new blue colour
TVS Jupiter is one of the best selling scooters in the country and the company is going to introduce Grande Edition in the festival season to lure more buyers. The first batch has already reached dealerships, but the company hasn’t announced any details yet. We can expect an official announcement soon.
The model spotted at dealership comes with “Grande” badge. The Grande Edition is based on regular Jupiter model and it comes with several changes to make it stand out from other variants. The scooter is finished in new body colour and comes with beige colour for the foot rest area and handlebar. TVS has also given tan leather finished seats on the Grande Edition.
The chrome finish from Jupiter Classic model is also present in the Grande Edition and it gets a small grille in the centre. The Jupiter Grande Edition gets all the features from the regular model along with a lot of new features like full LED headlamps and the semi-digital speedometer.
TVS Jupiter Grande Edition is powered by same 109.7 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 8 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 8 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. This engine is mated to CVT automatic transmission and according to ARAI, the Jupiter returns 56 kmpl, which is par among with rivals.
The braking duties are done by 130 mm drum brakes at front and rear. The Jupiter rides on 90/90 section tubeless tyres with 12-inch wheels at front and rear. The company has given telescopic front suspension and gas charged mono shock at the rear. We can expect the Grande Edition to be priced at a small premium over the regular model.
