Nissan first launched Terrano back in October 2013 after its French sibling Duster walked into the market in the previous year. Through its over two years of life span, some special editions did arrive. The “Terrano Groove” built as a limited edition with only 250 units had design upgrades such as matte black roof wrap, chrome highlights on fog lamps and tail lamps to distinguish itself from the standard model. It was also adorned with high-end Rockford Fosgate sound system, branded fabric mats and LED scuff plates on doors, etc.

As another exclusive story, we can reveal the new special edition models’ pictures snapped by one of our readers. The dual-tone red and white colour scheme indicates that Nissan could bide its time in introducing Nissan Terrano Special Edition soon. With red being the prominent paint job, the white touches in the bonnet, wing mirrors, roof line, rear-mounted spoiler and back portion of the C-pillar.

The A, B and C pillars are painted black whilst the fenders, running board and body cladding on both sides have received the white treatment emphasising the sporty body kit in the SUV. On the inside, the special edition Nissan Terrano features red stitches on the seats and multi-spoke steering wheel wrapped in part black and part red colours.

No mechanical changes are expected as the special edition will continue to be powered by the two engine options: a 1.6-litre petrol that makes 104 PS and 145 Nm and the 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine that produces either 85 PS and 200 Nm or 110 PS and 248 Nm. The special edition version is expected to be launched in the second half of this year.
