Ciaz to Nexa Dealerships, this move was pretty much expected and it is happening very soon; upcoming Vitara Brezza is return gift to standard dealers
Ciaz is one of the most important projects Maruti undertook and keep it in the lime light is what the key focus is on. After launching the product, the very next year it got exclusive SHVS hybrid system which escalated its appeal. Maruti wants to even more with it and does not want the same fate as the SX4 with it. So after making it look really good, giving it the most fuel efficient engines and platform and pricing it attractively, it now wants its car to stand in monochrome showroom to make it look even better under a ton of focus lights.
Ciaz to Nexa dealerships is one good move by Maruti and will help the premium quotient go even higher. The second reason why Ciaz is going to Nexa is because the YBA aka Vitara Brezza will go to normal dealerships. Something we told you before when we spied the rear of the car being tested. The badges on the boot confirmed variants such as ZXI/ZDI which so it was bound to go to regular dealership. Ciaz will now be ripped off those badges and could get same variant names like Baleno and S-Cross.
The YBA aka Vitara Brezza will get the volumes like other car in the same segment and hence Maruti made this decision since day one. Ciaz with its slightly lower volumes will come and stay in Nexa. Next product in the Nexa dealership could be the Ignis but it is too early to comment on the same. As of now Maruti is readying its game plan for 2016 and a lot of surprises await us which includes the sales chart killer, the Dzire diesel AMT that should be the first launch this year.
