The 2012 launched Maruti line-up Ertiga is getting a refresh and is expected to reach showrooms by mid-2015, precisely by May-June. The Maruti Ertiga has not seen any upgrades internally or externally from the day of launch. However, the tough competition among the segment has made Maruti to provide updates to the Ertiga. Our crew had spotted the updated Ertiga testing couple of day’s back which confirms the facelifts launch soon. Moreover, our spied images have been doing rounds on the internet for some time now.
With success running on Ciaz, MSIL is implementing the same “design language” with loads of chrome touch to their products. The updated Maruti Ertiga 2015 will completely eliminate the honeycomb mesh grille and replace it with an all-new chrome grille with chrome slats giving it a sporty look. The front-bumper is also restyled with chrome finish. At the rear, the chrome strip embodies Ertiga like the Toyota Innova was looking in 2013.
There would be no changes to the power system under the hood, the face lifted Ertiga will possess the same 1.4-litre petrol engine and the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine which produces 94bhp and 89bhp.
The petrol version is likely to get an AMT version as well, will have to wait for more info on this. The Maruti Ertiga 2015 will come with new Z+ trim with Auto Climatic AC, Smart play music system with navigation, Reverse Parking Sensor ,I-Key Entry with push start button and leather seat upholstery with leather wrapped steering wheel & gear knob. Maruti could put V+ badge for V(ABS).
The refreshment will allow the Maruti Ertiga 2015 to give a tough competition towards likes of the Honda Mobilio and the soon to be release Renault Lodgy MPV. As per our sources, Maruti Ertiga 2015 will deliver fuel economy above 25.2 km/l .
