Ducati Multistrada Enduro is the most adventurous model offered; derives power from 160 Bhp Ducati Testastretta DVT engine with high end ride-enhancing technologies
Available across all Ducati dealerships in India, the Multistrada 1200 Enduro has entered the Indian market today with a price of Rs. 17,44,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). Lauded as the most adventurous model in the brand’s range, the new model has been boasted to take the rider anywhere without “sacrificing comfort and control”.
Developed to take the rider beyond asphalt laid routes, it has been described as the perfect motorcycle for long adventures. The new Multistrada 1200 Enduro sits on 19-inch multi-spoke front and 17-inch rear wheels with a superior 200 mm wheel travel to suit any road or terrain surfaces. It comes featured with semi-active electronic front and rear Sachs suspension to absorb bumps and allow for a comfortable ride.
The fuel tank can hold a capacity of 30 litres and gives Multistrada 1200 Enduro a range that can exceed up to 450 kilometres. The engine propelling the sports touring motorcycle is the 1,200cc Ducati Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) unit which is good enough to produce 160 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 136 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The motor complies with the Euro 4 emission regulations and comes linked with a six-speed transmission.
The Multistrada 1200 Enduro is packed with technologies like Traction Control, Ride by Wire system, Cornering ABS, Wheelie Control, semi-active Ducati Skyhook suspension and four riding modes such as Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro. The advanced electronics system detects undulations and automatically adjusts the suspension for smoother landing.
The comfort and riding experience is elevated by back-lit handlebar switches, hands-free ignition and cruise control. Alongside the full LED lights illuminating the road on the entry of corners, the Vehicle Hold Control system holds braking and assists in uphill starts or when the bike is fully-loaded. The multimedia system allows rider to integrate their smartphones to the bike through Bluetooth.
