Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak is powered by a 160 HP developing 1.2 litre liquid cooled engine
Italian superbike manufacturer Ducati has launched its Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak model in India. The bike is priced at 20.06 lakh (ex showroom, Delhi). It is available in the company’s dealerships in Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. The sporty bike is available in a white red combination colour theme with black livery.
The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak has been designed with inspiration from Ducati’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb victory. It comes powered by a twin cylinder liquid cooled 1198.4 cc Ducati Testatretta DVT engine with Desmodromic Variable Timing. The engine kicks out 160 hp of peak power at 9,500 rpm and 136 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. Transmission duty is done by a 6 speed gearbox.

The sporty character of this super tourer is portrayed by the lightweight carbon fibre elements in the body. It is equipped with Ducati Performance Termignoni carbon fibre silencer. Suspension set up includes Ohlins 48 mm fully adjustable fork at the front, while the rear sports Ohlins RRX36 shocks. The bike runs on Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres wrapped at both the wheels.
Dimensionally, the 208 kg weighing bike measures 2,200 mm in length, 1,000 mm in width and 1,529 mm of wheelbase. Up front the bike features a menacing appearance with full LED headlampsa and cornering lights. The bike sports a 5 inch TFT colour display at the instrument console which is equipped with Bluetooth function and Ducati multimedia system. Through this function the rider can sync his or her smartphone with the bike.

Apart from these the Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak also comes with features like cornering ABS, wheelie control, traction control and cruise control features. The riders get 2 years of unlimited kilometer warranty.
