Ducati India Reduces Prices By Up To Rs. 7.36 Lakh

Ducati 1299 Panigale R Final Edition 5

Due to government’s relaxation in custom duty for CBU imports, Ducati has slashed prices for four of its motorcycles from Rs. 2.92 lakh and up to Rs. 7.36 Lakh

Ducati India has announced the substantial reduction in pricing of its motorcycles brought into the country via CBU (Completely Built Unit) channel. It is part of passing on the benefits to response and in reaction to the latest set of rules framed by the central government.

The custom duty on CBU imports were brought down from 75 percent to 50 percent with bikes having capacity of over 800 cc. This is to encourage more technologically advanced products to be retailed in the country by importing them front abroad but also contradicts the make-in-India programme?

                            Revised Ducati Prices (ex-showroom)
Monster 1200 Rs. 20.10 lakh
Monster 1200 S (Red) Rs. 24.63 lakh
Monster 1200 S (Charcoal Grey) Rs. 24.73 lakh
Panigale R Final Edition Rs. 51.82 lakh

The famed Italian company, also assembling bikes in India, has been benefitted by the new relaxation on custom duty in a similar fashion to some of its premium bike manufacturers. Four Ducati motorcycles come under the benefit range as they are shipped from Bologna to India.

They are Monster 1200, Monster 1200 S (Red), Monster 1200 S (Charcoal Grey) and Panigale R Final Edition. Three models from the Monster series see price slash as the Monster 1200’s sticker price go down by Rs. 2.92 lakh while the 1200 S Red and 1200 S Charcoal Grey witness Rs. 3.49 lakh and Rs. 3.48 lakh drop respectively.
