Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the leading automaker in the country, has the Alto 800 as its best-selling model in the market for too long. You can often find the Indo-Japanese manufacturer offering huge discounts on the entry-level hatchback to lure in more customers especially during the festive season and this year it is no different.

As part of Diwali discounts, the company is selling the base Alto 800 with a big offer. The STD variant can now be had with a cashback of Rs. 30,000 and furthermore the exchange bonus adds up another sum of Rs. 30,000. The corporate discount stands at up to Rs. 5,100 in addition.

Cumulatively, the entry-level Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 can now be bought for Rs. 2.2 lakh (on-road, New Delhi). The highly affordable price comes as a result of Rs. 65,000 discount by slashing it from original OTR of Rs. 2.85 lakh in New Delhi. The Alto 800 is sold in STD, LX and VX variants with petrol and CNG options.

The 796 cc three-cylinder inline F8D petrol engine is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 48 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 69 Nm of peak torque delivered at 3,500 rpm. It is mated to a five-speed manual transmission as no AMT is offered and it helps in retaining claimed mileage of 24.7 kmpl.
