Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 STD on-road price in Delhi is Rs. 2.85 lakh; it is now being offered with benefits and discounts up to Rs. 65,000
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the leading automaker in the country, has the Alto 800 as its best-selling model in the market for too long. You can often find the Indo-Japanese manufacturer offering huge discounts on the entry-level hatchback to lure in more customers especially during the festive season and this year it is no different.
As part of Diwali discounts, the company is selling the base Alto 800 with a big offer. The STD variant can now be had with a cashback of Rs. 30,000 and furthermore the exchange bonus adds up another sum of Rs. 30,000. The corporate discount stands at up to Rs. 5,100 in addition.
Cumulatively, the entry-level Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 can now be bought for Rs. 2.2 lakh (on-road, New Delhi). The highly affordable price comes as a result of Rs. 65,000 discount by slashing it from original OTR of Rs. 2.85 lakh in New Delhi. The Alto 800 is sold in STD, LX and VX variants with petrol and CNG options.
The 796 cc three-cylinder inline F8D petrol engine is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 48 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 69 Nm of peak torque delivered at 3,500 rpm. It is mated to a five-speed manual transmission as no AMT is offered and it helps in retaining claimed mileage of 24.7 kmpl.
The same powertrain with factory-fitted CNG kit makes 40 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 60 Nm at 3,500 rpm. It is also connected to a five-speed manual gearbox driving the front wheels with higher fuel efficiency of 33.44 kmpl. In September 2018, Maruti Suzuki registered total sales of 1,51,512 at 1 percent YoY growth compared to the same month last year.
Comparing this to August 2018, the brand recorded a decent increase in sales of 4 percent by adding 5,888 units to its name. Latest vehicles like Dzire, Swift, Vitara Brezza and Baleno have played their major roles in maintaining consistent sales.
