Dealers Offering Up To Rs. 80,000 Discounts On Toyota Yaris Sedan

2018 Toyota Yaris Review India-10

Toyota Yaris sedan gets a range of discounts ahead of Diwali to revive its sales fortunes in the Indian market

Launched earlier this year, Toyota Kirloskar Motor endured a positive initial response for the Yaris sedan with 4,000 bookings made in a short space of time. However, it could not maintain its consistency and has had a tough time over the last few months. In September 2018, only 595 units of the Yaris were sold in the domestic market to make matters worse at a drop of 43 percent compared to the previous month.

However, Toyota hopes to revive its sales by offering a range of discounts. The Yaris gets cash discount of Rs. 30,000 or it can be availed through accessories, alongside exchange offer of Rs. 20,000. Moreover, dealers are providing Rs. 30,000 cash discount in extra depending on the availability of stock. In total, the offers worth up to Rs. 80,000 make for a great deal during this festive season with Diwali just around the corner.

The Toyota Yaris sedan takes power from a 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated, petrol engine, which is good enough to produce a maximum power of 108 PS and 140 Nm of peak torque. It comes coupled with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-step CVT with paddle shifters and cruise control optionally available across all variants – J, G, V and VX.

The latest entrant to the C-segment for sedans competes against Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid. Toyota sensed the increased customer base for petrol sedans and does not offer any diesel variant but it is always good to have an option powertrain wise we reckon. It offers a number of active and passive safety features as well.
