The price of all these custom prepped body parts cost from Rs. 5.95 lakh and DC Design says only 300 units will be built
DC Design is a well-known tuning company in India for making customised vehicles and one of its latest creations is a modified Mahindra Thar. The Mumbai-based outfit has christened it as the ‘Hammer’ and it has an elegant presence rather than having an unconventional stance. It is basically the Thar from every angle but DC Design has worked its unique magic and made it more spectacular.
As ever, the modifications have made the DC Hammer quite a looker compared to the stock Thar off-roader. The price of all these custom prepped body parts cost from Rs. 5.95 lakh and DC Design says only 300 units will be built to maintain the exclusivity of the customisation. The standout visual highlights include newly designed front grille, turn indicators, fog lamp assembly and LED projector lights.

The bonnet has a different design in comparison to the regular version and the front bumper is brand new as well. Negative off-set alloy wheels dominate the side profile and it is embellished with chrome accents and roof-integrated Outside Rear View Mirrors. The flared wheel arches and aggressive hard top setup accentuate the wide character of the DC Hammer. The rear gets sporty character lines, LED tail lights and modified bumper to complement the overall styling.
Inside the cabin, the DC Hammer comes equipped with contrast red leather stitching and it can be found all over the door trims and dashboard. The bench seats are replaced by captain seats at the rear as well for a more upmarket vibe. There is wood detailing on the centre console and doors along with chrome finished dash vents and roof-fitted AC vents in addition to distract you from eyes getting caught out.

Despite the myriad of exterior and interior changes, the DC Hammer derives power from the same 2.5-litre turbocharged CRDe diesel engine which is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 105 bhp and 247 Nm of peak torque. It is connected to a five-speed manual transmission with availability of 4×4 transfer case.
