Datsun Redigo Limited Edition has been introduced with a number of updates ahead of the festive season to lure in more customers
Datsun Redigo Limited Edition has officially been launched in India and it is available in 0.8 L and 1.0 L engine options. The Limited Edition model comes with red inserts on front grille, contrasting roof colour, front and rear bumper undercover and new graphics on tailgate. The interior changes include red and black leather upholstery seats with accents on AC vents.
The company has also given satin chrome gear bezel, chrome inside door handles, carpet mats and rear parking sensors with display. Datsun has carried over all the features from top end model of Redigo. The limited edition model also comes in three colours – white, silver and red.
Datsun Redigo is powered by 799 cc petrol engine producing 53 bhp of power at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm of torque at 4,386 rpm. The 999 cc engine puts out 67 bhp of power at 5,500 rpm and 91 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm. Both these engines are mated to 5 speed manual gearbox.
Even though Datsun is providing AMT gearbox in Redigo, the company is not offering it in limited edition model. The 0.8 L variant returns 22.7 kmpl and 23 kmpl is for 1.0 L. The Redigo is based on Renault Kwid’s platform, but the company has given a completely new design theme.
The entry level hatchback comes with some features like LED DRLs, integrated music system, central locking, keyless entry, driver side airbag and more. Datsun is currently working on Go and Go+ facelift as they launched the updated model in other markets like Indonesia. The changes are limited to aesthetics only.
The front gets new bumper along with DRL inserts, new grille at front, headlamp cluster and mirror with integrated indicator. The rear has new bumper along with washer and wiper. The interior changes include a new 6.5-inch touch screen infotainment system. Datsun Redigo 0.8 L Limited Edition model is priced at Rs. 3.58 lakh and 1.0 L at Rs. 3.85 lakh respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi).
