Datsun Redi-Go Sport production increased as the limited edition model will be produced in addition of 800 units to meet high demand
Datsun India will increase the production of Redi-Go Sport limited edition model after seeing higher demand for this car. The car was launched in September with sporty body decals and other cosmetic updates. In just one month after launch the car has sold 1000 units, and the company has seen higher demand for this car. To meet the increased demand Datsun India has decided to produce additional 800 units of this car.
The deliveries of these additional units will be scheduled next month. The Datsun Redi-Go Sport comes with 9 new features over the regular model, which was launched earlier this year. It sports blackened front grille instead of chrome garnished grille in regular model. Also the limited edition model features body decals on the hood and side profile as well. Apart from that it gets blackened alloy wheels, which enhance the sportiness of Redi-Go Sport.
Speaking about the increased production of Datsun Redi-Go Sport Mr. Arun Malhotra, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. has said that, the Datsun Redi-Go Sport has generated more demand than anticipated and initially planned 1,000 units have been already sold out in less than a month. He also stated that, to meet the high demand and delight of its customers the company is increasing production of the car with a further 800 units.
Inside the cabin also Redi-Go Sport has received updats like black treatment on dashboard, Bluetooth compatibility in audio system. The Datsun Redi-Sport was launched at a price tag of Rs 3,49,479 (ex-showroom, New Delhi), which is bit higher compared to regular model. The regular model comes priced between 2.39 lakh and Rs. 3.34 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), and the limited edition is based on S trim of regular model.
Power source for Datsun Redi-Go Sport is same like the regular model. It takes power from a 0.8-litre petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine is shared with Renault Kwid, and it churns out 53 bhp of peak power at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm of peak torque at 4,386 rpm. It also delivers a fuel economy of 25.17 kmpl, which makes the car pretty impressive along with its attractive design.
