Datsun Go Hotwheels Edition Catches Everyone’s Attention at 2016 GIIAS

The Datsun Go Hotwheels edition gets sporty and colourful body decals, several cosmetic updates and some mechanical tweaks as well

At the ongoing 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show the Datsun Go Hotwheels edition is grabbing everyone’s attention. The car positioned at the entrance of the event comes sporting exclusive sporty livery. Also the car has been modified with several cosmetic updates both at exterior and inside the cabin as well. It also received some mechanical changes in form of upgraded brake and suspension. No performance updates have been made though.

Datsun Go hatchback is known for its practicality and budget friendliness. The car doesn’t get very exciting design. But the Hotwheels edition shows, how the mundane hatchback can be given a race spec car appearance. It features projector headlamps with hexagonal enclosures. The hexagonal radiator grille gets a chrome finished look. The front bumper has been redesigned heavily. It sports three air intakes, a wide splitter and horizontal LED strips at both sides.

The hood of the car sports carbon fibre accent and sharp V shaped appearance. It gets a Hotwheels livery as well. The side profile of the car comes featuring golden alloy wheels, carbon fibre accented wing mirrors. The sporty Blue-Green-White livery with the Hotwheels logo grabs everyone’s eyeball. At the rear, the Datsun Go Hotwheels edition comes with a roof spoiler, chrome tipped exhaust vent.

The interior of the car has received the updates as well. It gets a three spoke race spec steering wheel and new gear knob as well. The cabin also features Sparco racing bucket seat. The dashboard has also received subtle changes. On the mechanical front the car comes with disc brakes on all the four wheels. The suspension gave been lowered as well.

On the performance front the car remains same like the regular model. Power source for the car is a 1.2 litre three cylinder petrol engine. This engine is mated to a 5 speed manual transmission and churns out 68 PS of peak power. Also the car is pretty much fuel efficient.
