2016 Delhi Auto Expo: Datsun GO and GO+ with Dual Tone Interiors unveiled
Dastun in India is going through a not so good patch, the manufacturer has been making the Datsun vehicles since the last two years and hasn’t been able to crack the volumes market. Sure the numbers are better than its counterpart, Nissan, but clearly it hasn’t near to the Hyundai, leave along Maruti. The brand is heavily focusing on its Datsun brand though and is coming up with something new and unique to offer despite the fact its product its new. The Datsun brand has offered and showcased at the Auto Expo the same Datuns Go and GO+ with a revised interior.
The brand aims to put this idea into production and get the interior which has been premium-ized with plush art leather seats and dual tone color of beige and black has been used for the interior. We can also see leather wrapped steering wheel. The mobile dock has been replaced with a sound system that should have the features of the mobile dock as well such as USB and AUX connectivity.
We can see a CD player here. The overall unit look premium and as always, the GO series of vehicles have really good interiors for its price tag. There are some cost cutting, but that has been done to churn out space, increase efficiency and much more. Dual tone dashboard lifts the ambiance a lot better than before and rear also gets the same seats and colors used.
The engine on the other hand continue to remain the same. The petrol engine which is the 1.2 3-cylinder unit, borrowed from the Micra is here in a lower state of tune. Expect price to remain the same for this and add a lot plushness to the buying and owning expirience with this small upgrade.
