DK Design created an one off customised BMW G310R with so many changes for Johnny Chen and it is christened as G310 Rock
Johnny Chen is a hardcore bike rider from Taiwan, who started riding at the age of 15. Since then, he has tried many bikes and finally found his love with BMW Motorrad. The passion towards German brand got him the opportunity to attend International Instructor Academy (IIA) in 2016 and in 2017, and he also went for International Tourgide Academy (ITA).
All marshals and instructors of official BMW events come from these academies, less than 100 people have both these certificates and Johnny is one among them. DK Design created a one off customized BMW G310R for Johnny Chen and it is christened as G310 Rock. The custom shop has made so many changes for G310R.
The changes start with new round LED headlamp, which is placed lower compared to stock and the custom shop replaced regular indicators on side with two small indicators placed on forks. To give an aggressive look, DK Design has given adventure type fender which is placed below headlamp. The 41 mm upside forks has been carried forward from stock G310R.
The custom shop retained muscular stock fuel tank as it goes well with the overall design theme. DK Design has given new single piece handlebar, which is placed slightly higher than stock handle bar. The instrument cluster is placed in front of handlebar rather than behind it and the cluster remain stock.
The seating position is same like regular G310R but they have given leather brown seats to give a new look. DK Design removed rear extension for sporty look but the chassis and suspension remains unchanged. The stock exhaust has been replaced by a free flow sporty exhaust and this will reduce weight along with small increase in performance.
The custom shop has also given engine guard, which is finished in yellow colour and a similar yellow metal bar placed below pillion seat. BMW G310R in stock form produces 33 bhp of power and 28 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to 6 speed gearbox and brakes also come from stock model but the tyres are different.
