The custom-wrapped Yamaha R15 Version 3.0 comes with a pair of projectors below the headlamps, which gives a sporty look for the performance bike
Yamaha R15 Version 3.0 is one of the best looking affordable performance bikes in the country as the new generation model took inspiration from the flagship R1. But some customers like to increase the sporty design theme with personal touches and this is Mumbai’s first custom wrapped R15 Version 3.0.
The custom wrapping on the front, side and rear gives a new character for the R15 and the owner is a wrap artist, so he knew how to make his beloved R15 version 3.0 stand out from the stock model. Along with wrapping, he has also added a pair of LED lights below the headlamps with round corona rings, which increases the sporty look.
The alloy wheels have white and blue stickers in it, which go well with the overall design theme like the stock black visor. Apart from these minor modifications, the owner hasn’t made any other changes for the R15 and the performance bike looks really good especially in the images.
The R15 is one of the models which helped Yamaha to make a comeback in the Indian automotive industry and the performance bike is in its third generation. The new model gets dual headlamps setup with a big visor, which looks similar to the R1. The company has also redesigned the firing of new R15.
The V3 model retains the split seat up of its predecessor and the R15 come with a clip-on handlebar with rear-set footpegs. The riding position is committed and it’s not comfortable like its competitors. The instrument cluster is completely digital and it is packed with lots of information like average fuel economy, time, trip meter and more.
The suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic forks at the front (global model get upside down forks) and mono-suspension at the rear, which is tuned for handling. The R15 is powered by 155.1 cc single cylinder engine producing 19.3 hp of power and 14.7 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox and disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS system.
