Current Toyota Innova Production To Stop In 3 Months, 2016 Model Coming

2016 Toyota Innova is on its way as 2015 Model production will be stopped by August-September

Toyota’s focus towards premium category continues to get stronger and stronger as aggressive plans are drawn and somewhere in the future Toyota could be in the lead when it comes to competition from Japanese rivals here in India in the high-end Rs. 20 lakh plus cars.

Recently we told you that a couple of cars named Vios and Rush are on their way along with Lexus is coming this year. There is more news available on the highest selling and cash cow, the Toyota Innova.

The Toyota Innova production is all set to stop within the next three months as the new Toyota Innova is on its way which is all set to come in. The upcoming Toyota Innova is said to be more premium than before and will have better quality in the cabin, more features and better engines with more efficiency come from them.

The 2.0 Litre is all set to come in which has been heavily revised and will produce slightly more power and will have 6-speed manual gearbox instead of the 5-speed of the current and about to be discontinued model. More so along with the manual gearbox the much demanded automatic gearbox is also all set to make its debut in the Toyota Innova. All models of the Toyota Innova will have ABS with EBD standard. Driver airbag should be standard but its not confirmed yet.

The current Toyota Innova will continue to be produced in cab fleet popular trim, the GX, for one year that continues to cater to the taxi segment. No other trim like E, G, VX and ZX of current Innova will be available three months from now. When the new 2016 Toyota Innova comes in it will be be made available to private buyers for one year and fleet companies will be shown the door temporarily.

The worst part of the news is that the already expensive Toyota Innova is set to be even more costlier than before by 1.5 lakhs as already the current Innova manages to reach Rs.20 lakhs on-road Mumbai and the new one will reach Rs. 22 lakhs but not exceed that mark.
