Sub-4 Meter Compact Suzuki Ignis comes to life, will rival Cross Polo and Etios Cross
Compact crossover is suddenly the rage in the industry as they try and replicate the compact, SUV, which have come into the market recently. The only manufacturer, which hasn’t taken a step into this market is Suzuki.
Ford, Hyundai, Toyota, Volkswagen was already here with their alternatives and there are here in the market showing good growth signs with the model. Ecosport is a winner in its own way and Active i20 along with Etios Cross are doing quite well.
Suzuki may be able to crack it by launching the Cross Swift is what everyone thought that would come, but it looks like Suzuki already had a weapon in its arsenal for a long time. In comes Suzuki Ignis, which is most likely to come to India and challenge its competition here.
Likely to be in sub 4-meter category when it comes to India it will get the small car benefits will have all the crossover credentials and even more than needed. The Compact Suzuki Ignis trail has also come to the floors, which is a sportier version of the Ignis.
Pricing wise there is very less to worry as Maruti will mostly local produce this car and price it aggressively. Engines are likely to the ubiquitous 1.3 Multijet diesel engine and 1.2k K-series engine, which will power compact crossover. Compact Suzuki Ignis has a very funky exterior along with very futuristic and sporty interior as well.
Suzuki recently said except KEI cars every other car will is to come to India and we believe the Compact Suzuki Ignis has what it takes to turn the segment upside down. Reason? YBA is another and a proper compact SUV, which will set the sales chart on fire.
