Chevrolet Cruze Prices reduced by pto Rs. 86,000; New Price List Included Below
The Chevrolet Cruze received a mild facelift on 30th January 2016 and it’s been followed by revision in price allotment today. In contrary to international markets, where the new generation Cruze is up and running, Chevrolet is biding its time to bring an all-new model and since the facelift is here we can presume that the latest generation model will check the patience of the sporty Cruze’s enthusiasts.
In a bid to increase the sales of the updated Cruze, the American auto maker has made a price slash of upto Rs. 86,000. The minor changes the refreshed model received in the name of facelift are LED Daytime Running Lights up front, horizontally slated chrome grille, all-new fog lamps and a rear lip spoiler.
Inside the cabin, Chevrolet has opted to go with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with integrated internet radio (Sticher SmartRadio) and Grace Note applications whilst featuring Siri Eyes Free function, Bluetooth Audio Streaming and Phone telephony with Voice Recognition compatibility, rear vision camera support and touch controls for Automatic HVAC and Vehicle Personalisation. It’s devoid of navigation system as in the recently launched Trailblazer premium SUV.
On the mechanical side, the updated Cruze comes equipped with the same power unit as its predecessor. The 2.0-litre VCDi diesel engine is good enough to generate a maximum power output of 164 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque. Driving the front wheels is through a standard six-speed manual or an optional six-speed automatic gearbox.
Against main competitors Toyota Corolla Altis and Volkswagen Jetta in the midsize sedan segment, Chevrolet Cruze endured a mediocre sales last term and in the event of overturning its fortunes the prices have been slashed across all three variants in a more welcoming fashion.
The base LT manual variant’s price has been revised from Rs.14.86 lakh to 13.95 lakh, at a reduction of Rs. 73,000. The middle LTZ manual will be offered now for Rs. 15.95 lakh as against 16.75 lakh at a decrease of Rs. 80,000. The customers buying the range-topping LTZ automatic are the biggest gainers as the price has been slashed by Rs. 86,000 from Rs. 17.81 lakh to Rs. 16.95 lakh.
