Cadillac showcasing futuristic Interior concept gives the preview of future car interiors

Cadillac showcasing a futuristic interior concept, which gives preview of the future Cadillac car interiors. The new dash concept is debuts at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on Monterey Peninsula in Monterey County, California. This brand new interior concept comes on par with the Audi virtual cockpit and Mercedes Benz’s wide screen E-Class dash.

The new Cadillac interior concept has been designed in collaboration with LG. Instead of the conventional analog dials and gauges at the instrument cluster the new dash concept shows all the information through a wide digital panel. The wide and sleek OLED screen displays various information and data like the speed, temperature, fuel economy. The menus appear in 3D graphics.

Also the screen displays the satellite navigation informations and acts as the infotainment system as well. Therefore no need of a separate touchscreen infotainment system, as the large and sharp OLED screen comes blending both the instrument cluster and infotainment system in a single unit. This way the new Cadillac dash concept enhances space at the front compartment by minimizing the usage of buttons and dials. Also the digital screen delivers a premium feel.

The video Cadillac has released shows some unique features of the new dash concept. The driver can sync his or her smartphone calendar with the system. It will show the journey details and the scheduled informations on the go. Apart from these, the narrow steering wheel brings back the memory of old school models delivering a retro vibe.

The American auto manufacturer is yet to reveal the detail about which future car to receive the new dash. But it is expected to be a high end model, which would come donning the new digital dash. Once the dash concept hits the production, expect some more improvement to make their way into the new dash.
