BMW Motorrad entered the Indian market just two months ago with its premium bike range. The German bike manufacturer has sold 150 units in just 2 months and 60% of this total sales has been contributed by the BMW R 1200 GS and BMW R 1200 GS Adventure. The BMW S1000RR also has earned positive response from the Indian buyers.

Demands for premium bikes have been increasing in the domestic market in recent past and being a global giant, BMW Motorrad seeks a sizeable chunk of that pie. The company currently sells several models in five different categories. Apart from these models, the company is also preparing to launch its smallest offering G310R.

Currently BMW Motorrad imports the motorcycles as CBU products. However, the G310R is being built in collaboration with TVS at the latter’s Hosur plant. Once launched, the bike manufacturer will be able keep the BMW G310R’s pricing competitive thanks to the local production. Also, the bike has garnered positive response from the buyers in the country that indicates it could be a successful model here.

With the launch of the BMW G310R, the German premium bike manufacturer would be able to increase its sales volume significantly. It will help the brand to grab more market share in this highly competitive market. As we have reported few days back, the BMW G310R is expected to be launched in the country in 2018.
