BMW Motorrad has announced the final price of F750 GS and F850 GS as the former starts at Rs. 11.95 lakh for entry level standard variant and latter at Rs. 12.95 lakh (both ex-showroom)

BMW Motorrad showcased the new F750 GS and F850 GS for the first time in India at the 2018 Auto Expo and both these adventure motorcycles made their global debut at EICMA last year. During the Auto Expo, the company announced that F750 GS will be priced at Rs. 12.20 lakh and Rs. 13.70 lakh for the F850 GS.

BMW Motorrad has announced the final price of both these motorcycles now and the F750 GS starts at Rs. 11.95 lakh for entry level standard variant and F850 GS at Rs. 12.95 lakh (both ex-showroom). The prices have gone down on F750 GS by Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 75,000 on the F850 GS, the reason might be new tax structure as these bikes come to India via CBU route.

The F750 GS is focused more towards off-roading but the bigger F850 GS is for proper long distance touring. Even though the purpose is different, both motorcycles are powered by same 853 cc in-line parallel twin cylinder engine and it gets a new crank with 90-degree offset throws and dual balance shafts.

The firing interval has also changed with the new engine along with compression, which is up from 12:1 to 12:7. This engine is tuned to produce 77 hp of power at 7,500 rpm and 83 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm on F750 GS. But in F850 GS, this engine puts out 95 hp at 8,250 rpm and 92 Nm at 6,250 rpm. The power delivery is also different between both these adventure bikes.

The F850 GS and F750 GS get same 6-speed gearbox with anti-hopping clutch and gear shift assist pro for clutchless shifting. BMW has given 305 mm double disc brakes at front and 265 mm disc at rear both adventure bikes. The F750 GS comes with 41 mm telescopic front forks and cast aluminium dual swing arm with central spring strut at the rear.

On the other hand, BMW is offering advanced 43 mm upside down forks at the front and same rear suspension from the smaller model. The F750 GS gets spoke wheel with 110/80 R19 tyre at the front and 150/70 R17 tyres at the rear. But the F850 GS comes with 90/90 R21 tyres at the front and 150/70 R17 for the rear. The aggressive pricing might help the adventure twins to sell well in India.
