German luxury automaker BMW has expanded its 3 Series lineup in India by launching the new 320i today. The luxury sedan has been launched in Prestige and Luxury line variants bearing price tags of Rs. 26.90 lakh and 42.70 lakh respectively (ex showroom, Delhi).
The BMW 3 Series gets comes available with both the petrol and diesel engine options. The diesel engine is the 320d available in four different variants, while the petrol variant, the 320i is offered in two different variants. Both the petrol variants come in India via CBU route. The three colour options in which the new 3 series will be sold are Alpine White, Black Sapphire and Imperial Blue, while there is another paint scheme Jatoba Metallic; which is exclusively available for the BMW 320i Luxury line.
The TwinPower Turbo petrol engine in the new entry-level luxury sedan comes mated to an 8 speed automatic transmission and churns out 184 hp of peak power and 270 Nm of peak torque between 1350 rpm – 4600 rpm. The car can reach 0 – 100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds, while the top speed for the BMW 320i is rated at 235 kmph.
The BMW 320i is adorned with signature BMW kidney grille, sharp headlamp clusters with dual BMW Corona ring and integrated LED daytime running lights. The car sports sharp character lines and LED taillights as well. The New 320i boasts technologies like Auto start and stop button, ECO and PRO driving modes which allow the driver to select according to his or her wish. The other available techs are brake energy regeneration, intelligent lightweight construction; which makes the car fast going and fuel efficient.
The BMW 320i also comprises 50 – 50 weight distribution for better handling, BMW iDrive, BMW apps, Bluetooth and USB device connectivity and Park Distance Control or PDC. In the BMW 320i Luxury Line, the car’s BMW ConnectedDrive features navigation system professional which includes GPS with 3d maps.
