Mahindra TUV300 is an unique car with its tough looking stance. The homegrown auto major launched this car by claiming that it has been inspired by battle tank design and this design language certainly made a strong impression among the SUV loving Indians. In a segment highly competed by several products from various auto majors, TUV300 has managed to make its own mark. It is yet to achieve desired sales result, but the compact SUV has managed to impress many buyers in the country.
In terms of design, Mahindra TUV300 carries a rugged and powerful masculine stance from every angle. It gets a perfect boxy shape that delivers the true SUV look. Up front, the car gets vertically slated radiator grille with chrome embellishment, large headlamps and a muscular front bumper with rectangular fog lamps along with a wide central air intake. Side profile gets sharp character lines, a perfect boxy shape, squarish wheel arches, boldly designed alloy wheels, blackened side footstep, blackened out pillars and roof rail.
Rear profile of the SUV features compact taillights, spare wheel mounted to the tailgate and a footstep as well along with chunky bumper. Mahindra offers plenty of accessories for customizing the SUV according to the buyer’s own preference. The seven-seater SUV comes with a length of 3,995 mm and width of 1,835 mm.
Inside the cabin, the car offers generous amount of space and comfort to the occupants. Not only for the occupants, but it also offers 384-litre of boot storage capacity. The interior sports a dual-tone theme, multifunction steering wheel, dual-pod instrument cluster with analog dials and digital MID at the middle. The hexagonal centre control features a touchscreen infotainment system. There are silver accents at the steering wheel and centre console. The car offers generous amount of headroom and leg space as well.
Power source for the Mahindra TUV300 is a 1.5-litre twin-stage turbocharged mHawk diesel engine that is capable of generating power in different states of tune. It churns out power output ranging between 81 bhp and 100 bhp, while maximum torque output ranges between 230 Nm and 240 Nm. Transmission options for the car include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. So far, the Mahindra TUV300 is a pretty good compact SUV within the price range of Rs. 10 lakh.
