Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift
Hyundai Elite i20 sits in a segment that is one of the highly in demand and bestselling categories of Indian auto market, the premium hatchback segment. The South Korean auto manufacturer has seen pretty good success with this car in domestic market and now takes it to next level by introducing the facelift version of this premium hatchback. This facelifted model is showcased at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo before commercial launch later this month.
It gets a revised front grille with stylish chrome garnishing. The headlamps looks similar as the current model. Front bumper arrived with a sculpted look making the hatchback more stylish than now. Moving to side profile, Hyundai Elite i20 facelift gets sporty and stylish 16 inch diamond cut alloy wheels. Apart from that, it also gets dual tone exterior colour options.
It bears same sharp character lines as the current model, turn indicator integrated ORVMs, blackened glass area. The C pillar comes with a thick appearance and completely blackened out giving the car a floating roof pattern and it is turned into glossy finish now. Moving to the back, it gets roof spoiler, revised and all-LED taillights along with an updated bumper.
So far, Hyundai Elite i20 will come with a much more stylish look compared to the present model. Inside the cabin, there is a new larger touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Alongside that, there is multifunction steering wheel, analog and digital display consisting instrument cluster. Seats and upholstery receives upmarket quality materials. However, space inside the cabin remains same as the outgoing model.
This car retains the same engine and powertrain options as the outgoing model however 1.4L petrol AT is being replaced by 1.2L CVT. Power and torque output too will be same as now, but fuel efficiency of these engines improved in the facelifted version. Speaking about pricing, the Elite i20 facelift gets a marginal price hike of Rs. 6000 premium over the outgoing model.

Tata Tiago JTP
Tata Motors has seen immense success with its Tiago hatchback since its arrival in the country. A sportier version of this car has been at the centre of discussion from the very beginning and the Tiago JTP is now unveiled at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo. This car certainly add zing to the Tata Motors’s product portfolio and it will lock horns with rival like Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS upon arrival.
Speaking about the design of Tata Tiago Sports, it appear with a styling that will make this car look like sporting several accessories over the standard hatchback. The car gets the same headlamps as the regular model but now they are smoked, the black front grille with honeycomb mesh is now glossy and a thick matte black cladding at front bumper adds a sporty character to the car. The fog lamps will come highlighted by glossy black cladding.
Moving to the side profile, the Tiago Sports arrives featuring sporty and stylish 15 inch diamond cut alloy wheels, black cladding, scuff plate, sporty body decals and vents on fendor with JTP badging on it. Apart from that, there will turn indicator integrated red painted ORVMs, black glass area, sporty looking all black roof. At the back, there is integrated black roof spoiler, compact taillights and a chunky bumper. So far, Tata Motors won’t leave any chance in making this car attractive from every angle.
Inside the cabin, Tata Tiago JTP features an all-black colour theme adding style with three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, analog and digital display consisting dual-pod instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system at centre console. Leather Seat and upholstery comes wearing improved quality materials. In terms of space and comfort, it arrives similar as the standard hatchback.
Tata Tiago JTP will be available with a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine under its hood. This engine will be mated to a 5-speed transmission and it will be capable of churning out 108 bhp of peak power at 5,000 rpm and 170 Nm of peak torque between 1,750 rpm and 5,000 rpm. Also, this car will be capable to return around 20 kmpl of fuel efficiency. Expect the Tiago JTP to come priced at around Rs. 6 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

2018 Honda Amaze
Despite the Maruti Suzuki Dzire ruling compact sedan segment of Indian car market, Honda Amaze has been able to maintain a sustainable sales figure. The Japanese auto major introduced a facelift that upped the style of the car and now the brand is unveiled the all-new Amaze. 2018 Honda Amaze made its global debut at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. The New Amaze comes sporting several updates at exterior and inside the cabin as well.
In terms of design 2018 Honda Amaze gets Honda Accord and Civic inspired design. It gets sharper and sleek headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, a revised front grille with a new updated bumper as well. The front grille receives a new horizontal chrome bar.

On the powertrain front, 2018 Honda Amaze is expected to arrive with a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT as option. This petrol engine will be able to churn out 87 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 109 Nm of peak torque 4,500 rpm. The diesel variant of the sedan will get energy from a new 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine that will be able to kick out 99 bhp of peak power at 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm of peak torque at 1,750 rpm. Maruti Suzuki Future-S
Maruti Suzuki is undoubtedly the king of small car market in India and the Indo-Japanese brand is aiming greater domination in coming years. Alto has been one of the bestselling cars of all time from the brand but increased competition from Kwid forced Maruti Suzuki to bring a all new small car and with this new Future S Concept, Maruti Suzuki is aiming to compete the Renault Kwid.
Expected to launch later in 2018 or in 2019, the Future-S is expected to get some sporty and macho exterior styling. These days, the hatchback with SV stance are becoming increasingly popular and Future-S is expected to come with a tough look in line with the Maruti Suzuki Ignis. Tata Motors is gearing up for a product offensive in coming years and one of the upcoming model from the brand is going to be the premium hatchback that is internally codenamed as 45x. Tata showcased the concept of this premium hatchback at 2018 auto expo. Tata is surely going to bet big on this car as it will be competing against tough rivals like Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo.
So far, Tata 45X is going to be a very important product from the brand considering the fact that the automaker is now introducing new and fresh products in its portfolio that are not only visually appealing, but also come equipped with upmarket features and new powerful and efficient engines as well. The automaker has already earned pretty good success with the Tiago and 45X is going to be another game changer for the brand.

2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift
Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the most popular and top-selling hatchbacks in the Indian market for quite long time. The car is now set to come in an all new avatar and the Indo-Japanese auto manufacturer launches the new generation Swift in the country at the Auto Expo 2018. The new version of the popular hatchback priced from 4.99 Lakh and is been showcased at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo as the biennial event is the biggest auto show of the country.
Compared to the current Maruti Suzuki Swift, the new generation model looks very different, more stylish and more upmarket as well. It comes with a completely redesigned front fascia that portrays the car in a sportier form. The front grille is new and larger than the present model, while the headlamps look sharper and come with LED daytime running lights.
The hexagonal front grille features sleek chrome trim around it. The front bumper gives the car a sporty vibe, while the fog lamps are surrounded by blackened area. Tata Motors is introducing some spectacular products in its portfolio for last couple of years. The brand has several new models lined up that will be introduced in different segments in coming years. One of the attractive and upcoming cars from the brand is going to be the new SUV that it is currently testing. Codenamed as H5X, this SUV will be the flagship model from the brand upon launch and it is expected to be rolled out in India sometime next year. Before that, Tata showcases its concept car at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo.
An interesting fact is that, this SUV will be underpinned by the Land Rover Discovery Sport’s L550 architecture. This lightweight platform will ensure the all-new SUV comes lightweight but sturdy, capable of performing some serious off-roading tasks. In terms of design, we can expect the upcoming Tata flagship SUV will arrive with a stylish and muscular stance and it will follow the Impact design language, the latest theme from the homegrown auto major applied in models like Nexon, Hexa, Tigor and Tiago.
Expect the production version of this car to share some design elements with Land Rover Discovery Sport as seen in the H5X concept as well. The engine is will surely churn out generous amount of power and torque output along with impressive fuel efficiency. 2018 Honda Civic
Japanese automaker Honda is changing its strategy for Indian market and the company is about to bring more upmarket products in the country. The demands for the premium cars have increased lately and Honda has failed to understand that, which led to facing unimpressive performance in terms of sales. In an attempt to turn over its fortunes, Honda plans to launch some exciting products among chief among which is the new generation Civic sedan and now It is showcased at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo.
The all-new tenth generation Civic sedan is expected to be launched soon in the country and interestingly, ahead of that it has been already introduced in Pakistan. The executive sedan comes with a very sharp and stylish appearance. It sports sharp LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights complemented by a thick and wide chrome bar running the entire width of the front fascia. The front bumper looks muscular and there are two circular LED fog lamps.

Toyota Yaris Sedan
Toyota has already started testing the new Yaris sedan in the Indian market and it could launch in mid 2018 and the car has been displayed at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo. The latest generation of Toyota Yaris sedan incorporates the Japanese automaker’s modern global design language.
Upon its launch in the Indian market, this mid-size sedan will lock horn with tough rivals like Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, Skoda rapid, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Vento. It would be priced between Rs. 9 lakh and Rs. 13 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The upcoming new Toyota Vios sports a large front grille and the sharp projector headlamps with dual chrome slats between the headlights grabs attention easily.
The hood features sleek and sharp creases running toward the nose. At the side profile, the turn indicator integrated ORVM, sharp character lines, blackened glass area, new alloy wheels make the sedan stylish looking. The rear fascia of the car gets large wraparound taillights, a thick horizontal chrome bar between them positioned right above the registration enclosure and a chunky bumper is there as well.

The SUV market in India is rising pretty fast and the South Korean automaker Hyundai wants to take a lead in the segment. In an attempt to increase its portfolio the company is planning to introduce a small SUV that will be based on the popular and upmarket i20 hatchback. The car is expected to be launched in the international market sometime this year and it debuts at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo.
Upon its arrival, the SUV is expected to lock horns with rivals like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport. It will be built following the sub-4 meter rule and expect it to be designed following the Korean auto major’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. It could come with sharp and stylish appearance and expect it to get several modern and upmarket features as well.
Hyundai Elite i20 is known as one of the most popular premium hatchbacks available in the domestic market. This small SUV borrows some of the design elements from the hatch inside the cabin. Also, the upcoming car could share several features with the Elite i20 as well. In terms of space and comfort too, the i20 based hatchback will come pretty impressive.

Tata Tigor JTP:
Tata Tigor is one of the affordable subcompact sedans you can buy currently in India with good amount of features involved. Despite its stylish nature, it could not get the sales numbers it intended to but there is an upcoming sporty version which could alter its proceedings.
It has been displayed at the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo in Greater Noida and is one the main attractions at the brand’s pavilion. It has been developed jointly by Tata Motors and Coimbatore-based Jayem Automotives. The Tigor JTP will be available in the domestic market for buyers soon along with the Tiago JTP. It also pays tribute to the circuit in which it was developed, the Kari Motor Speedway.
Tata Tigor JTP will likely be priced at around Rs. 20,000 – Rs. 30,000 premium over the standard sedan. On the powertrain front, the regular 1.2-litre petrol engine that is capable of kicking out 84 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm is strapped with a turbocharger to boost its performance to 110 hp and 150 Nm.
To achieve the additional power and torque, Tata has made modifications to the intake and exhaust. As for the proportions, it measures the same as the regular Tigor with 3,992 mm length, 1,677 mm width, 1,537 mm height and has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm.
The suspension has been retuned and ride height lowered slightly to help in sporty handling. To make it stand apart from the regular range, Tata has made sporty changes to the exterior giving more aggressiveness to the overall design.
Moreover, the interior has black theme and red accents. The steering wheel, dual-pod instrument cluster and gear shifter are taken from the standard model. But the seats and steering wheel are upholstered in leather material for a
2018 Honda CR-V:
Honda introduced the fifth gen CR-V for America last year and it has been displayed at the ongoing Auto Expo. It is one of the three upcoming cars showcased including the Civic and new generation Amaze. It has been confirmed to launch on Indian shores in the 2018-19 financial year as well. The CR-V is currently sold in over 160 countries and the Japanese brand says over 9.4 million vehicles are retailed in total.
As for the engine lineup, the brand new premium SUV could use a 2.4-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, mated to a CVT automatic transmission, making 190 hp. It is expected to be accompanied by the new 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel motor which generates 158 hp at 4,000 rpm and 350 Nm peak torque. It could be connected to a brand new ZF nine-speed automatic.
The new-gen CR-V has a sharper appearance compared to the model we know for long in India. It comes equipped with large chrome grille and sleek headlamps completing a stylish overall design.
As for the interior, it gets a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto headlamps, premium soft-touch material, voice controls, dual rear USB charging ports, heated side mirrors, a two-zone climate control system, 18-inch wheels, etc.
It measures 4,571 mm in length, 1,885 mm in height, 1,667 mm in width and has a wheelbase of 2,662 mm. The upcoming Honda CR-V rivals Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. The new generation Honda CR-V is an important product for the brand in the premium segment along with the upcoming Civic.
It could be priced between Rs. 27 lakh and Rs. 33 lakh (ex-showroom) in the domestic market. It is believed to be positioned aggressively against the Volkswagen Tiguan and the Hyundai Tucson as well otherwise.
Mahindra is gearing up to grab a bigger share in the Indian UV market and for that, the homegrown auto major is emphasising on introducing a range of new products. Besides the indigenously developed cars, Mahindra is also working with its two subsidiaries SsangYong and Pininfarina to produce some interesting cars that will be available in domestic market as well as in global markets as well. One of them is going to be the SsangYong Rexton based Mahindra XUV700 that is displayed at 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo.
This car wears a very muscular and aggressive stance. It gets a vertically slated chrome garnished front grille flanked by sharp headlamps featuring projector lamps and integrated LED daytime running lights. There is a chunky black bumper with horizontally positioned fog lamps and black air intake.
Moving to the side profile, it have sporty large alloy wheels, sharp character lines, turn indicator integrated ORVMs, blackened glass area, chrome finished door handles and sporty roof rails. The black cladding at lower side profile will add zing to this model. Moving to the back of this vehicle, it have wraparound taillights, sculpted looking tailgate and muscular bumper.
Inside the cabin, the Mahindra XUV700 will come with a premium stance with the design and features on offer It could don a dual-tone paint scheme. There will be a multifunction steering wheel, analog and digital display consisting instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Expect generous amount of space to be on offer, while it will come with several advanced safety features.
On the powertrain front, Mahindra is expected to equip this car with a 2.0-litre GDi turbocharged petrol engine that would be able to kick out 225 bhp of peak power. On the other hand, there will be a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine sourced from SsangYong that is capable of pumping out 181 bhp of peak power. It will come with a manual gearbox and there will be an automatic unit as well. Expect the car to be priced between Rs. 20 lakh and Rs. 25 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Kia is preparing to enter the Indian market likely in 2019. The South Korean automaker will initially launch three models that include the Sportage SUV which has been already spied on the roads of the country. This SUV is showcased at 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo. Upon its launch, the car will lock horns with tough rival like Mahindra XUV500.
India is one of the fastest growing cars markets in the world and seeing the increasing demands for cars Kia is hoping for good fortune here. Sportage comes with dual beam projector headlamps, signature Kia front grille with chrome trim. The front bumper looks muscular and the round shaped fog lamps also come with chrome trim around them.

Kia Soul Electric
The second model Kia is going to launch in the country in its initial phase of business could be the Soul crossover. The South Korean crossover has been already spied testing on Indian roads and it is displayed at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo but in Electric version.
Given the rising popularity of SUVs and crossovers in the country, the Soul will surely grab attention of the Indian customers and specially the new generation buyers who want style, upmarket and useful features in one single package. The Kia Soul comes with an attractive design that catches attention very easily. It gets a stylish front fascia with signature Kia front grille, sharp headlamps.
The headlamps get projector units and integrated LED daytime running lights. The radiator grille features chrome trim and the front bumper looks muscular with air intake surrounded by glossy black trim. The round fog lamps enhance the visual appeal further.
At the side profile, the Kia Soul comes with alloy wheels, side body cladding, chrome garnished door handles, turn indicator integrated ORVM. The dual tone body paint gives it a floating roof design and enriches the style as well, while the roof rails make the car sportier looking. The taillights are vertically positioned that certainly makes the Soul crossover unique.
Interior of the car comes donning a sporty black theme. South Korean automaker and Hyundai subsidiary Kia’s third model in the Indian market is going to be the Picanto hatchback. The sporty looking hatchback has got a new look recently. This car is also displayed at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo. It dons a front fascia that is very similar to the new Rio.
The demands for upmarket hatchbacks have been rising in the country and the Picanto is expected to get positive response from the customers. The Kia Picanto sports a sporty looking front profile that incorporates a signature Kia grille with chrome embellishment. The stylish LED projector headlamps are complemented by the LED daytime running lights.
The large front bumper looks muscular and comes with large air intake. Fog the lams come with chrome detailing around them, while there are secondary air dams positioned vertically at both sides of the front bumper.
At the side profile, the hatchback delivers a tall vibe. It sports turn indicator integrated ORVM, blackened glass area, sporty large alloy wheels and chrome finished door handles. The subtle character lines increase the style further. Moving toward the rear fascia of the Picanto, this Kia car features roof spoiler with stop lamp at the centre, C shaped taillights and a muscular bumper as well. Altogether, the Picanto hatchback looks pretty attractive indeed.
Inside the cabin, it will come with a sporty and attractive design along with interesting features also. A multi-function steering wheel, analog dials and digital MID consisting instrument cluster along with a touchscreen infotainment system will be there inside the cabin of this car. The black interior theme is enough to deliver a sporty charm. On the powertrain front, the Kia Picanto could get small engines like 1.0-litre unit and a 1.2-litre unit. These engines are claimed to be fuel efficient. In the Indian market, the Picanto could share some components with the Grand i10.
