Bajaj Auto recorded 326,458 units in November 2017; motorcycle sales grew by 11%
Bajaj Auto has registered impressive 21% sales growth in November 2017 and its motorcycle business recorded 11% sales growth. The homegrown company has registered 263,970 units of motorcycles in last month compared to 237,757 units in the same month last year. Overall, it sold 326,458 units of vehicles compared to 269,948 units in November 2016.
In the commercial vehicle segment, Bajaj Auto has seen its sales grew by whopping 94% in last month when it recorded 62,488 units against 32,191 units in same month previous year. Not only in domestic market, but the company also experienced satisfactory growth in its export number. In November 2017, Bajaj recorded an export number of 146,623 units compared to 115,425 units in same month last year.

Bajaj’s updated Pulsar range has been playing crucial role in achieving improved sales result. The brand has updated its popular Pulsar range with new subtle design changes, new colour options and upgraded engines as well. Apart from that, its V series and the current flagship bike Dominar 400 too proved to be successful products from the homegrown brand.
To capture greater market share, Bajaj is aiming to roll out more new products and one of them is going to be a bigger engine powered Avenger. As we have reported earlier, Bajaj Auto is working on Avenger 400 that would arrive powered by the same 373.3 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that powers the Bajaj Dominar 400 and KTM Duke 390 as well.

To grow bigger internationally, Bajaj has tied up with British marquee Triumph. The first co-produced motorcycle under their alliance is expected to arrive by 2021. Apart from these, Bajaj is also working on a new sub-brand called Urbanite, which will be the motorcycle manufacturer’s electric product wing. First electric bike from the brand will be launched by 2020, and it will be followed by an electric scooter.
