Bajaj Auto Limited has seen an overall growth of 25.87% in its March, 2016 sales. The two wheeler maker sold a total of 264249 motorcycles in March 2016, compare to 209937 units in March 2015. The automaker exported a total of 101519 units of motorcycles. The new V15, which is claimed to have built from the metal of INS Vikrant and the new Avengers, played a crucial role in Bajaj’s March sales surge. Incidentally, not only Bajaj, but several other two wheeler makers like Hero MotoCorp, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, TVS Motor Company, Royal Enfield, Yamaha also seen a rise in sales.

Bajaj V15’s V stands for Vikrant, India’s famous aircraft carrier warship, which was scrapped in 2014. It is claimed to be the most patriotic product ever in the country and in automotive industry as well. This motorcycle created its own segment. The motorcycle sports a muscular appearance. It comes with the unique fuel tank which bears the INS Vikrant logo on it. It gets a part cafe racer and part cruiser like appearance. The motorcycle gets a 149.5 cc four stroke single cylinder air cooled engine mated to a five speed transmission which churns out 12 PS of peak power and 13 Nm of peak torque. Incidentally this same engine has been generating power for the famous and very popular Bajaj Pulsar 150 for last ten years.

New Bajaj Avenger has become an immense hit among customers

When Bajaj introduced their affordable cruiser Avenger few years back, it couldn’t fetch a good sales figure, but when the two wheeler maker introduced their new restyled second generation Avengers in an all new avatar and with new models in late 2015, the new Avengers grabbed everyone’s attention. Presently, Bajaj sells Avenger 180, Avenger 200, Avenger 220, Avenger Street 150, Avenger Street 220 and Avenger Cruise 220. The popular two wheeler maker has plans to introduce an Avenger 400 in near future, which will compete against Royal Enfield models.
