May 2018 has been one of the best months for bikes in India as the segment registered 15.16 percent Year on Year growth and scooter sales went down after 18 months which is also another factor for improving bikes sales. All major bike products has posted positive growth and one of the top performers of last month is Pulsar brand as the company has sold more than 70,000 unit in a single month for first time.

The impressive performance is thanks to launch of affordable Pulsar 150 models. The company introduced an entry level Pulsar 150 variant last month along with double disc variant launched without any hike in price. This strategy is paying off for Bajaj as they adopted a similar strategy for Platina and launched an entry level model which improved sales considerably.

Bajaj-Pulsar-Classic-150-launched-in-India-3Bajaj Pulsar range consist of entry level 135 LS, 150, 160, 180, 200 and 220. The flagship Pulsar model is RS 200 and this long portfolio is giving lots of options for customers, which is another reason for the strong sales. With the introduction of every new generation model, the popularity of Pulsar brand is increasing and no other model has come close to it.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 Twin Disc Variant get the same styling from the previous model and it is powered by 149.5 cc DTS-I engine producing 14 PS of power and 13.4 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to 5 speed gearbox and braking power comes from 260 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc. The company has given bigger and wider rear tyre which improves stability.

Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Launched in India 2The company is still not offering ABS on entry level models as 200 NS and RS 200 comes with single channel ABS system while other Pulsar model will get it before April 2019 dead line and the company will introduce it part of a model year update. Bajaj will introduce new Pulsar 125 next year to further increase the reach of Pulsar brand.
