Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon ABS is priced at a premium of Rs. 1940 over the non-ABS model and apart from ABS, the company hasn’t changed anything
Bajaj Auto has officially launched the Pulsar 150 Neon ABS in India at Rs. 67,386 (Ex-Showroom) and when compared to the non-ABS model it is priced at a premium of Rs. 1940. The company has added ABS for most of the models as the government has made it mandatory that all two-wheelers above 125 cc must get ABS as standard.
Two-wheelers below 125 cc must come with the combi-braking system. Apart from the introduction of ABS braking system, the company hasn’t added any other features to the best selling model and the Pulsar 150 ABS comes with rear-wheel lift protection sensors like all other Pulsar and entry-level Duke models.
Bajaj is offering the Pulsar 150 Neon in three colour options – Neon Red, Neon Silver and Neon Yellow. The Red and Silver colours come with glossy paint finish while the Yellow colour gets a matte finish, which makes it stand out. The Neon finish is visible in headlamp cluster, Pulsar logo, side panel, grab handle and alloy wheel.
The Pulsar 150 Neon is powered by the same 149 cc single cylinder engine producing 15 bhp of power at 9,000 rpm and 12 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and the top speed is 112 kmph. The fuel tank capacity of Pulsar 150 Neo is 15 litres and the reserve capacity is 3.2 litres.
According to ARAI, the Pulsar 150 Neon returns 65 kmpl, which is excellent for a 150 cc bike. The braking duties are taken care of by 240 mm disc at the front and 130 mm disc at the rear along with the single-channel front ABS. The Pulsar Neon Edition gets 17-inch wheels with 90/90 section tyre at the front and 100/90 section tyre at the rear.
The Pulsar 150 Neon Edition comes with telescopic forks at the front and gas charged twin shock absorbers at the rear, which is tuned for comfort. The instrument cluster is analogue and digital as tachometer is analogue while all other information is displayed on the digital screen, which includes speed, time, odometer, trip meter and more.
