Bajaj aims to increase its market share to 26 percent by next fiscal compared to its current share of 20 percent

Bajaj Auto is planning to revamp its entire product lineup in the country soon. The bike manufacturer says that it will launch new products under all of its seven brands – CT, Platina, Discover, V, Pulsar, Avenger and Dominar. With these new products on offer, the company aims to increase its market share to 26% in the next fiscal compared to its current share of 20%.

Despite having a strong market share, the company has faced several bumps in last eight months. In November 2016, the company faced steep decline in sales due to the demonetaisation and later in the beginning of this fiscal BS-III ban affected the sales again. Due to these reasons Bajaj experienced its market share lowered. Now with the new bikes in under every band it aims to compensate that loss.

Bajaj claims that its new products have been doing well in last 18 months compared to the new motorcycles from the rivals.

One of the biggest product launches from the brand in recent times was the Dominar 400 that is currently the flagship model of the homegrown bikemaker. Now, the brand has patented Dominar based adventurer and scrambler models in the country. Among other upcoming products, the brand is working on a 400 cc Avenger cruiser as well that will be the flagship model in the Avenger series.
