Bajaj Model-Wise Nov 2019 Sales Analysis – Pulsar, Avenger, Dominar

The Platina was the most sold Bajaj last month as 53,015 units were sold against 62,555 units with YoY decline of 15 per cent

Bajaj Auto posted a decline of 12 per cent domestically to 2,07,775 units in November 2019 as against 2,34,818 units during the same month last year. The overall volumes of the company saw a slight drop of 1 per cent to 4,03,223 units last month. The two-wheeler and CV sales declined by 14 per cent and 1 per cent respectively.

The Platina was the most sold model within the domestic portfolio as 53,015 units were sold against 62,555 units with 15 per cent decline. The CT 100 ended up second with 44,808 units but it saw Year-on-Year drop of 21 per cent while the Pulsar 150 met with 37 per cent volume drop in November 2019.

The launch of the Pulsar 125 earlier this year has been a big advantage for Bajaj Auto as it helped in garnering more budget-conscious buyers into the fold. It certainly has eaten into the volume figures of its bigger sibling, the Pulsar 150, over the last months. In November 2019, it posted a total of 20,193 units.

The Combined sales of Pulsar 180 and 200 NS stood at 8,497 units last month as against 9,122 units during the corresponding month in 2018 with 7 per cent drop. The Pulsar 200 managed to register a total of 5,645 units last month as against 6,933 units in November 2018 with Year-on-Year dip of 18 per cent.

The Avenger 180 performed well last month as 3,374 units were retailed against 1,884 units with a sales increase of 79 per cent. The Discover 100 ended up garnering only 1,063 units in November 2019 and it resulted in a massive 83 per cent sales drop while the Avenger 220 fell on the same patch with 55 per cent decline.

The flagship Dominar 400 attracted a total of 311 units last month as against 170 units during November 2018 with Year-on-Year volume increase of 83 per cent as the whole host of updates introduced a few months ago has worked in its favour. The Discover 125 was the least sold Bajaj last month with just 94 units.
