Aspark Owl Is An Electric Hypercar With Ridiculous Acceleration

Aspark Owl can accelerate 0-100 kmph in less than 2 seconds; draws energy from a 1,000 hp pure electric powertrain

Ever heard of a supercar called Aspark Owl? Well this is the mysterious pure electric hypercar at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show that grabbed everyone’s attention with its stunning design. But, the most interesting fact about this supercar is its performance capability claimed by the manufacturer. The development of this car has been going since 2014 and it could enter production in near future.

Expect it to be priced from $5.2 million. As the manufacturer of this supercar claims, the Aspark Owl can accelerate to 100 kmph from standstill position in less than 2 seconds. That’s something disturbingly amazing! Isn’t it? It can run at a top speed of 280 kmph and the accelerating capability is just enough to make it the fastest accelerating road car in the world.

The Aspark Owl pure electric hypercar is made of carbon fibre body and it is built on a space frame. The bodyshell of the car is claimed to be weighing around 50 kg only, while the overall weight of this supercar is 860 kg. It runs on magnesium alloy wheels and its 1,000 hp generating electric powertrain is capable of delivering a range of 150 km on a single charge.

The Aspark Owl electric supercar uses capacitors for power storage instead of battery pack. The capacitors are capable of discharging power more quickly compared to the battery packs. This hypercar will enter production in 2019 and it will be available as a limited edition model. Aspark says that it will be available on a pre-order basis.

The electric supercar has been designed keeping focus on the aerodynamic efficiency. It uses all LED lights at front and rear. The car features premium leather wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, large all-digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen panel at the centre console. Also, the supercar features individual touchscreen infotainment system for occupants.
