The all new Honda Amaze features a number of cosmetic changes as well as equipment additions to take the fight firmly to latest Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Since the official unveil of the upcoming Amaze, internet has been buzzing over its market entry. Before its price reveal on May 16, the subcompact sedan has started reaching dealer yards across the country, as evident from the images we have posted here.
The new generation Honda Amaze will be sold in four different variants: E, S, V and VX just like the outgoing version. The significant changes made to the 2018 Amaze are obvious from the first glance as visual revisions are in aplenty.
In response to the stylish sub-4m sedans like the latest Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Tata Tigor, the Amaze adorns heavily updated exterior by going in line with the styling of the modern Hondas. It gets an upright front end with sharper headlamps, thick chrome grille, restyled rear, dynamic bonnet, etc.
The base E variant features dual-tone interior with piano black console, ivory coloured interior door handles, driver side auto down window, chrome grille, MID, low fuel working lamp, front antenna and accessory socket and manual AC.
Over to the S grade, it has LED turn indicators, multi-spoke steering wheel with mounted audio controls and tilt function, 2-DIN audio with 4 speakers, AM/FM/Aux-in, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, shark fin antenna, electrically adjustable and foldable wing mirrors, keyless entry and height adjustable driver seat.
In addition to the E grade and aforementioned features, the Amaze adorns body coloured door handles and ORVMs, silver coloured inner door handles, speed sensing door lock and adjustable front seat headrest in the S variant.
The V and V CVT grades feature LED positioning lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, welcome light, front and rear mudguard, electromagnetic trunk opening, driver side seat back pocket, and CVT paddle shifters, automatic climatic control with outside temperature display, push button engine start/stop and front fog lamps.
The top-spec VX boasts DIGIPAD 2.0 touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, cruise control, voice recognition, two USB ports, driver side window with one touch auto up/down and pinch guard.
As standard, Honda will see dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, ISOFIX child mounts, reverse parking sensors and impact sensing door lock on the new Amaze. The same 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engines are used with the major addition being segment-first CVT with paddle shifters on diesel.
