Honda has unveiled the Activa e: electric scooter with swappable batteries, offering a 102 km range, 6 kW motor, and three riding modes
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) recently unveiled its first-ever electric scooter, the Honda Activa e: in the Indian market. Here are the top five things you need to know about the new Honda Activa e:
1. Availability
Honda Activa e: has been officially revealed, but bookings will start from 1st January 2025. Price will be announced on the same date. Deliveries for the electric scooter are set to begin in February 2025.
2. Design
The Honda Activa e: gets a clean design that manages to make a statement. Its styling features include an apron-mounted LED headlamp, an LED DRL on the handlebar cowl, and more. The side panel flaunts subtle creases and silver bits, while the flush pillion footrests add a refined touch. The tail section of the Honda Activa e: is equally impressive, highlighted by the sleek dark smoke effect on the LED tail-lamp cluster. Overall, the design of the scooter is visually appealing.

3. Swappable Batteries
The Activa e gets two swappable batteries that cannot be taken out for at-home charging. You’ll need to rely on Honda’s swappable battery stations for charging. Moreover, Honda has announced plans to establish a comprehensive network of battery-swapping stations, with 84 stations currently operational in Bengaluru. Additionally, the brand is working to expand these stations to Mumbai and Delhi, with plans to roll out more locations in other cities soon.
4. Motor and Battery
Honda has equipped the Activa e: electric scooter with a motor mounted on the swingarm, delivering a peak power output of 6 kW and a max torque of 22 Nm. The two-wheeler manufacturer claims that the scooter accelerates from 0 to 60 kmph in 7.3 seconds. It gets three riding modes – Eco, Standard, and Sport. With a maximum speed of 80 kmph, the Honda Activa e: is equipped with two 1.5 kWh swappable batteries, offering a combined capacity of 3 kWh. The e-scooter offers a claimed range of 102 km on a single charge.

5. Variants and Colour Options
The Honda Activa e-scooter will be available in two variants – Standard and Sync Duo. Talking about the colour options, the Activa e: will be offered in five paint schemes, including Pearl Misty White, Pearl Shallow Blue, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, Pearl Serenity Blue, and Pearl Igneous Black.
