After discontinuing the Z4 in September 2016, BMW took nearly two years to reveal the next generation model that shares plenty in common with the latest Toyota Supra. Following its debut in several international markets, the 2019 BMW Z4 has finally made its way into India and interestingly it has been offered in both sDrive20i and M40i variants.

The 2019 BMW Z4 sDrive20i is priced at Rs. 64.90 lakh while the M40i is quoted with a price tag of Rs. 78.90 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom pan India). The Z4 roadster is brought into the country via CBU channel and is available at all BMW showrooms across India from today. The soft-top two-seater takes plenty of inspiration from the iconic BMW models and it gets two engine choices.

The BMW Z4 M40i is a hardcore M performance model with aggressive exterior and adorns signature long bonnet, kidney grille and short overhangs. Opting to the Sport Line or M Sport package, the BMW Z4 sDrive20i can be personalised to a great extent as well. It can be had in five metallic colours namely Black Sapphire, Glacier Silver, Mineral White, Mediterranean Blue and San Francisco Red.

The less powerful BMW Z4 sDrive20i uses a 2.0-litre inline four-pot TwinPower Turbo engine churning out 197 hp and 320 Nm at 1,450–4,200 rpm. It is 2.1 seconds shy of the M40i in reaching 100 kmph from standstill.

As standard, the cabin gains leather and Alcantara interior with blue contrast stitching and blue piping. If you do not want Quartz Silver trim, High-Gloss Black, Aluminium Mesh Effect or Aluminium Tetragon can be chosen. The M sports seats with adjustment options and M leather steering wheel further enhance the sporty ambience of the roadster.
