Next-generation Hyundai Creta is expected to be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo and it will likely have bigger dimensions

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is expected to host the global debut of the second generation Creta at the 2020 Auto Expo next February and it could go on sale before the BSVI deadline of March 31, 2020. According to reports emerged on the internet, the next-gen Creta will boast embedded SIM connectivity as the Venue.

The Creta will likely be powered by BSVI compliant 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines and offered in both manual and automatic transmission options. We can expect the upcoming SUV to feature equipment like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, digital instrument cluster and so on as in the Kia Seltos.

Kia will be debuting in India with the Seltos premium SUV that will be positioned in the same segment as the Hyundai Creta. The second generation Creta will more likely be based on the same architecture as the Seltos and thus expect bigger dimensions allowing roomier cabin than the current model.

The Creta has utterly been dominating its segment for long and it has prompted manufacturers to bring in rivals. It has resulted in the segment getting crowded as more potential has been exploited over the last few months with Tata Harrier and Nissan Kicks stepping in to seize any existing opportunity.

The second-gen Hyundai Creta will address the requirements of the modern buyers and it will reportedly be offered in seven-seater configuration as well. The connectivity and Artificial Intelligence based in-car features have taken over the segment courtesy of the MG Hector and the upcoming Kia Seltos.
