Akshay Kumar becomes brand ambassador of Tata Motors as it plans a high-decibel media campaign for its commercial vehicles from January 2017

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar becomes the brand ambassador for the commercial vehicle unit of Tata Motors. The company has announced the appointment of the popular movie star on Tuesday. From January 2017, the Indian automaker plans to roll out a high-decibel and innovative marketing campaign for its products. Akshay Kumar will be actively involved in that.

Speaking about the automaker’s association with ‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar, Mr. Ravindra Pisharody, Executive Director of Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors has said, the company is delighted to announce versatile and reliable Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as the new face of Tata Motors’ Commercial Vehicles Business Unit.

Mr. Pisharody also said that Akshay embodies dynamism, popularity, machismo, performance and style. Speaking about the association, the Bollywood star has said, Tata is one of the brands most of us have grown up with and now to be associated with them is indeed an honour. He also said, no one understands Indian trucking better than Tatas and there couldn’t have been a better and more apt brand to promote. Akshay also said, it was fun being in the driver’s seat of one of those monster machines during a product shoot.
