Groupe PSA recently announced their plans to bring the Citroen brand in India, starting their innings with the C5 Aircross premium SUV.

The kind of success enjoyed by compact SUVs once in India has now been taken over by mid-premium-SUVs and the recent launches prove the same. From MG Hector to Kia Seltos, every new car launched in this segment has tasted success, even though both of them are completely new brand for India, which is a not a typical Indian buyer behaviour.

For years, Indians have preferred tried and trusted brand lowering their risk appetite. However, these two launches prove otherwise and so it is obvious any new car manufacturer would like to start their India innings by launching a mid-SUV.

Groupe PSA is one such brand that recently revealed their India plans and will bring a premium SUV as their first product. The French auto group announced in April to bring the Citroen brand in India and their first product will be the Citroen CS Aircross SUV, which is scheduled to come to India before the end of 2020.
