In the list of upcoming retro bikes, we have explained about models from Royal Enfield, Hero MotoCorp, Husqvarna, Triumph and Honda
The entry-level middleweight motorcycle segment is all the rage and a host of new retro-styled motorcycles are waiting to be launched over the next year or so. Here we have explained about them:
1. New-Gen Royal Enfield Bullet 350:
Within the next few weeks, Royal Enfield is expected to introduce the new generation Bullet 350 in India. Based on the latest Classic 350, the retro roadster will share the platform, engine and mechanical bits with its sibling. However, its authentic old-school styling will be retained and it could be priced competitively as well.
2. Royal Enfield Hunter 450:
Following the debut of the new-gen Bullet 350 and the Himalayan 450 adventure tourer, RE will likely bring in the neo-retro roadster taking inspiration from the Hunter 350. It will feature a new 450 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing around 40 bhp and it will directly compete against the recently launched Triumph Speed 400.
3. Hero 440 Power Cruiser:
Reports indicate that Hero MotoCorp is working on an all-new motorcycle influenced by the Yamaha MT-01 power cruiser. It will use the same 440 cc oil-cooled engine borrowed from the Harley-Davidson X440 and it will be positioned aggressively upon launch in March 2024.
4. New-Gen Husqvarna 401s:
The new generation Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401 neo-retro motorcycles based on the upcoming KTM 390 Duke are expected to make their global debut next year. Following the arrival of the 2024 390 Duke, we can expect the Husky duo to be launched in India as well but no official confirmation has been made yet.
5. Triumph Speed 250:
The Triumph Speed 400 has certainly shocked the industry with the capabilities and pricing and its 250 cc roadster derivative will likely come in sometime next year. It could carry a price tag of Rs. 1.7-1.8 lakh (ex-showroom) and a scrambler variant could also be under development.
6. Honda CB350 Cruiser:
Speculations suggest that a new Honda motorcycle based on the CB350 platform will be introduced before the end of this year. The Honda Dio 125 made its way to the market only recently and a cruiser-styled motorcycle could hit showrooms taking inspiration from the Rebel series sold globally.
7. Royal Enfield Single-Seater Classic 350:
Also in the pipeline is the single-seater bobber version of the Classic 350. It has already been spotted testing in India and it will have a slightly different ergonomics with whitewall tyres. Expect it to be launched later this year.
