The month of September 2024 will be stacked as new launches across various disciplines of the automotive industry will keep it busy. Here we have brought you a rundown of the upcoming new cars and two-wheelers within the next two weeks in India:
1. Tata Curvv ICE:
The prices for the Tata Curvv ICE will be announced on September 2. The midsize SUV coupe will be available with three engine options: a 1.2L GDI turbo petrol, a 1.5L diesel, and a 1.2L Revotron petrol. Both manual and automatic transmissions will be offered. The Curvv is expected to come with the same features as its EV counterpart and could start at around Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
2. Mercedes Maybach EQS 680:
Set to launch on September 5, the Mercedes Maybach EQS will be equipped with twin e-motors that generate 658 hp and 950 Nm of torque. It will feature a 108.4 kWh battery pack, providing a driving range of over 600 km.
3. 2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350:
The MY2024 Classic 350 was revealed on August 12 and its prices will be announced tomorrow. It gets a host of new features and paint schemes but no mechanical changes have been implemented. Expect a price hike of around Rs. 5,000 compared to the outgoing model.
4. Hyundai Alcazar Facelift:
Hyundai is set to announce the prices of the facelifted Alcazar in India on September 9. The brand has already unveiled details about its cabin, exterior, colours, and engine and transmission options for each variant. The facelifted Alcazar takes heavy visual inspiration from the latest Creta and will come equipped with a range of new features and technologies, including Level 2 ADAS.
5. MG Windsor EV:
Based on the Wuling Cloud EV, the MG Windsor EV is all pumped to debut on September 11. While it’s more of a crossover than a traditional SUV, this midsize electric vehicle will combine the traits of both an SUV and a sedan, offering a roomy and practical interior with high ground clearance. The Windsor EV will feature a large glass roof, reclinable rear seats, a 15.6-inch touch display, digital instrumentation, and more. It is likely to be available with two battery pack options, delivering a driving range of up to 500 km.
6. New Hero Destini 125:
The revised Hero Destini 125 has already been teased in India ahead of its market launch in the coming days. It was leaked a while ago revealing a refreshed design but no powertrain updates are expected.
7. New Jawa 42:
Classic Legends is gearing up to launch the new top-spec variant of the Jawa 42 in India on September 3 and it gets a sportier stance with a larger fuel tank, upward positioned exhaust system, newly designed alloy wheels, wider tyres, cosmetic updates and new shades. Expect the 334 cc engine to feature a host of updates as well.
8. Tata Nexon CNG:
Tata is expected to launch the production-spec CNG variant of the Nexon in the coming weeks, which will feature twin-cylinder technology. This setup will retain usable boot space and make the Nexon the first turbo CNG car in India. The Nexon iCNG concept was showcased earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 and the production model will almost replicate it.
