Here we have listed the upcoming cars (ICE and EV) in 2024 that will be equipped with ADAS based driver assistive and safety systems
Over the last few years, the presence of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) has added an extra layer of safety to many new cars in India. In 2024, primarily, the new cars priced above Rs. 15 lakh will feature such technology and here we have mentioned the upcoming ones with it:
1. Hyundai Creta Facelift & Alcazar Facelift:
The facelifted Hyundai Creta is expected to hit the market in early 2024 and it will get a redesigned exterior and an all-new interior. A new 1.5L turbo petrol engine will also join the lineup and it will produce 160 PS maximum power and 253 Nm of peak torque. It will come with Level 2 ADAS tech as in the Kia Seltos facelift.
We do expect assistive and safety technologies such as Front Collision Warning (FCW), Front Collision Assistance, Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA), Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, etc to be available.
As part of introducing ADAS across its entire lineup and offering six airbags standard across the range, Hyundai will also add ADAS to the Alcazar’s portfolio.
2. New-Gen Kia Carnival:
The facelifted four-generation Kia Carnival will make its global debut in Korea this month and it will head to India next year. Since India only had the previous generation, the upcoming premium MPV will be a radical departure inside and out and it will also boast ADAS technology.
3. Tata Curvv & Harrier EV:
Tata Harrier EV Concept The Tata Curvv will make its way to the market as an EV first while the Harrier EV is also speculated to launch next year in India. Both will have claimed driving range of more than 500 km on a single charge and will come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, all-digital cluster, six airbags, powered liftgate, ambient lighting, touch-based climatic controls, two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, ADAS, etc.
4. Mahindra XUV.e8:
Spotted testing multiple times on public roads, the Mahindra XUV.e8 is based on the XUV700 and it will be launched in late 2024. It will be heavily influenced by its concept in terms of design and the cabin could have several commonalities with the XUV700. It will be positioned above the XUV400 and will be equipped with features such as ADAS.
