The seven-seater midsize SUV segment will see plenty of activity in the coming years as many new models are expected to be launched

The midsize SUV segment has become extremely popular in recent years and most of the five-seaters have given rise to their three-row siblings. Over the next two to three years, the segment will see the arrival of new seven-seaters and here we have given you all the known information:

1. 7-Seater Citroen C3 Aircross:

Citroen is currently working on a midsize SUV for India and it could be christened the C3 Aircross. It has already been spotted testing multiple times and expect it to spawn a three-row as well as an electrified version in the coming years.

2. 7-Seater Honda Midsize SUV:

Honda Cars India will launch an all-new five-seater midsize SUV later this year following its debut this summer. It will help in expanding the brand’s domestic portfolio and will likely spawn a seven-seater variant in the near future. It could be powered by a 1.5L petrol and a 1.5L strong hybrid petrol engine as its five-seater sibling.

3. 7-Seater Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara:

By the middle of this decade, Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the three-row variant of the Grand Vitara with six- and seven-seater configurations. It will sit at the top of the company’s ICE range and will likely use the same engine lineup as the existing model. Expect minor exterior changes and a more advanced features list to differentiate it from the five-seater.

4. 7-Seater Next-Gen Renault Duster:

Based on the globally acclaimed CMF-B platform, the next-generation Renault Duster will arrive in India by 2024 or 2025. It will be influenced by the Bigster concept and expect turbocharged petrol engines to power them. It will likely give rise to a seven-seater variant in the future as well.

5. Hyundai Alcazar Facelift:

The facelifted version of the Hyundai Alcazar will gain a mid-life update and it will come with cosmetic revisions and new features including ADAS based driver assistive and safety technologies.

6. Tata Safari Facelift:

The updated Tata Safari will also arrive soon in India and recently the Red Dark Edition was displayed at the 2023 Auto Expo with new features such as a 360-degree camera system, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, an updated cluster and so on.
