Carmakers such as Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Tata and Kia will bring in new SUVs in the coming months and here we have a complete list

The SUV market is certainly booming in India and taking advantage of the good reception, car producers are bringing in new models across different segments. Here we give you a complete list of upcoming SUVs that are launching soon and more importantly, you should wait for:

1. Honda Midsize SUV:

An all-new midsize SUV from Honda will hit the market by the middle of this calendar year. It will sit on the modified version of the Amaze’s architecture and will share a lot with the City midsize sedan. It draws design influence from the global crop of Honda SUVs and will be powered by a 1.5L NA petrol and a 1.5L strong hybrid petrol engine.

2. Kia Seltos Facelift:

The facelifted Kia Seltos has already been spotted testing in India and is expected to be launched in the coming months. It will get a redesigned front fascia and an updated rear. The features list will also gain new technologies like ADAS. A new 1.5L turbo petrol engine pushing out 160 PS and 253 Nm is expected to be employed as well.

3. Maruti Brezza CNG:

The CNG version of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza made its debut at the 2023 Auto Expo in January. It will go on sale in the coming months and will become the first CNG model in its segment to be retailed with an automatic transmission. It will be sold in an expansive range and will derive power from a 1.5L petrol engine.

4. Tata Punch CNG:

The Tata Punch CNG was also unveiled at the last edition of the biennial Auto Expo alongside the Altroz CNG. It will be powered by a 1.2L NA petrol engine and a twin-cylinder gas tank will aid in not sacrificing the bootspace. It will be launched later this year in India.

5. Maruti Fronx:

The compact SUV coupe will be introduced in India next month and it will be available with either a 1.2L petrol or a 1.0L turbo petrol engine with manual and automatic transmission options. It will have a lot in common with the Baleno premium hatchback as features such as a nine-inch touchscreen, HUD, a 360-degree camera system, etc will be available.

6. Maruti Jimny:

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny in its five-door guise will have its production commence next month and it will be launched around June 2023. It will derive power from a 1.5L four-cylinder petrol engine, linked with a five-speed MT or a four-speed AT sending power to all four wheels as standard.
