The facelifted version of the Honda City will likely launch next month while the new generation Hyundai Verna will debut soon as well

While the SUV market is booming, the same cannot be said for the sedan space but it does not stop brands from bringing in new products. Over the next year or so, we will witness a number of new sedans stepping into the market and here are our top 5:

1. New-Gen 2024 Maruti Dzire:

The third-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire is expected to go on sale in the first half of 2024 and it will have several commonalities with its new-gen Swift sibling. One of the key features will likely be the presence of a strong hybrid powertrain that could be capable of a claimed fuel efficiency of over 35 kmpl. It will get a host of changes inside and out.

2. New-Gen Honda Amaze:

Speculations surfaced on the internet indicate that an all-new Amaze is set for global debut next year. It is said to reach India in the same year and will take heavy inspiration from the global crop of Honda sedans. Besides an updated platform, the cabin is also expected to gain a number of revisions while the features list could also be upgraded.

3. Skoda Octavia RS iV Hybrid:

Skoda’s next big launch in India is believed to be the Octavia RS iV in the coming months. As for the performance, a 1.4-litre four-cylinder TSI petrol engine will develop a maximum power output of 150 hp and the combined power output when paired with a 116 hp capable electric motor stands at 245 hp. It has a peak torque output of 400 Nm.

4. Honda City Facelift

The facelifted version of the Honda City will arrive as early as next month and we showed you the first-ever spy images of the mid-life update a few months ago. The powertrain options could be carried over as the 1.5-litre NA i-VTEC petrol and the 1.5-litre strong hybrid petrol engines will be utilised.

The strong hybrid variant’s range will likely be expanded this time around and new features could be added to the lineup. The fifth-generation Honda City has been well-received amongst customers since its debut and the facelift will help in expanding the lifecycle of the existing model.

5. New-Gen Hyundai Verna:

In the coming months, Hyundai will introduce the new generation Verna midsize sedan. Its design will be inspired by the global Elantra and Sonata while the interior will be brand new as well with a more modern features list including ADAS tech. A 1.5L petrol, a 1.5L diesel and a 1.5L turbo petrol replacing the 1.0L petrol engine will be used.
