Maruti Suzuki is actively working on a range of new passenger vehicles for the Indian market including zero-emission vehicles and it will focus on the compact as well as midsize segments. Below is a list of the upcoming ICE compact models that are expected to be introduced over the next 24 to 30 months:
1. New Maruti Suzuki Dzire:
The all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift recently went on sale in India featuring evolutionary updates to both its exterior and interior, along with a significant upgrade to its features. Likewise, the new-gen Dzire is set to launch later this year, powered by a new 1.2L Z series three-cylinder petrol engine, available with manual and AMT transmissions. The exterior will be noticeably different compared to its sibling but the features list will be almost identical.
2. Next-Gen Maruti Suzuki Baleno:
The next-generation Maruti Suzuki Baleno will more likely launch in India by 2026. Internally referred to as YTA, this new model is expected to gain major revisions in both design and interior features. Building on the substantial update from early 2022, the upcoming Baleno will likely come with a newly developed HEV system from Maruti Suzuki,
It may arrive with a claimed fuel efficiency of more than 35 kmpl. The premium hatchback is currently powered by a 1.2L K-series four-cylinder petrol engine and a more potent 1.0L three-cylinder Booster Jet turbo petrol mill.
3. Maruti Suzuki Fronx Facelift:
The facelift Maruti Suzuki Fronx, codenamed as YTB, is expected to debut in India next year. While it is a mid-cycle update, the highlight is likely to be the new engine option. This model will probably debut the company’s highly localized hybrid electric powertrain. The 1.2L Z series petrol engine, currently available in the new generation Swift, might come with a range extender technology.
4&5. Maruti Suzuki Compact MPV & Micro SUV:

Maruti Suzuki is working on a brand new compact MPV that will be positioned below the Ertiga, targeting competitors like the Renault Kiger and its forthcoming Nissan counterpart. This new model will be based on the Suzuki Spacia, which is currently available in Japan. Additionally, a micro SUV, internally codenamed the Y43, is also under development with a launch likely in late 2026.
